Maanantai
Kesäloma Suomessa on vietetty ja tietokone pullollaan kuvia. Koska kameran laturi unohtui Suomeen ja kameran akku on tyhjä, on hyvä aloittaa suman purkaminen vanhoista kuvista, uusia kuvia kun ei tule ennen kuin laturi saadaan kotiin.
Aivan kesäkuun alussa Pojan koulusta tehtiin kevätretki Fattoria Canale -nimiselle maatilalle. Mukaan retkelle pääsi yksi vanhempi per lapsi.

Monday
Summer holiday in Finland is now over and the computer full of pictures. Because the battery charger of the camera was forgotten in Finland and the battery is now empty it is good time to start adding old pictures as there won't be any new ones before we get the charger here in Italy.
In the beginning of June Boy's school made a trip to a nearby farm called Fattoria Canale. One parent per child was allowed to go on the trip as well.
Tässä Pojan innokas ihailija "piccola S", joka kuulemma jahtasi Poikaa ja muitakin isoja poikia joka päivä koulussa.
Boy's admirer "piccola S" who according to Boy used to chase him and other big boys at school every day.
Maatilan pihalla lapset jaettiin kahteen ryhmään. Tässä Pojan ryhmä menossa jonossa tutustumaan leivän tekoon.
The children were diveded into two groups. Here Boy's group is on line on their way to make bread.
Jokaisella lapsella on muovilautanen ja siinä pikkuinen keko jauhoja. Jauhoihin tehtiin kuoppa keskelle ja siihen laitettiin kolmella sormella ripaus suolaa.
Every child had a plastic plate and a small amount of flour on it. They needed to make a hole in the flour and put with three fingers a pinch of salt in it.
Seuraavaksi jauhokuoppaan annosteltiin kauhalla lämmintä hiivavettä, kaikki aineet sekoitettiin yhteen ja...
Next they got some warm yeast water in the hole and everything was then mixed together...
...leivottiin pieneksi leiväksi.
...to make a small bread.
Kun leivät oli leivottu, tehtiin uusi jono ja vaihdettiin paikkaa toisen ryhmän kanssa.
When they finished making their breads the children made another line and changed places with the other group.
Poika ja paras kaveri A matkalla talleille ja navettaan.

Ulkokatoksessa oli isoja pieniä possuja.
On the outside of the barn there were some small and big piggies.
Melkoisen äänekkäitä kaakattavia hanhia.

The children were allowed to feed the cows...
...samoin kuin hevosillekin. Huomattehan ylemmässä kuvassa vasemmalla pinkit housunpolvet ja tässä alemmassa pinkin lippalakin Pojan takana: piccola S:hän se siellä!

Navetan katossa orrella istui riikinkukko.

Mutta ehdottomia suosikkeja kaikkien maatilan eläinten sijasta olivat nämä seitsemänviikkoiset koiranpennut, jotka tuotiin silitettäväksi.
But these seven-week-old puppies were definitely the favourite ones instead of all the farm animals.
Valmis leipä. Leivät paistettiin maatilan uunissa päivän aikana, pakattiin isoon pussiin ja paluumatkan jälkeen jokaiselle annettiin yksi kotiin vietäväksi.
Baked bread. These were baked during the day, put in a big sack and after the return bustrip one was given to every child to take home.
