Lauantaina porhalsimme porukalla kenkäkauppaan ja Poika sai neljät uudet kengät: siniset jalkapallolenkkarit koulukengiksi, sandaalit lämpöisiin kevätpäiviin, puolittain avonaiset sandaalit koulua varten ja vihreät kengät on helppo itse laittaa jalkaan ja ottaa pois, kun vilistää sisään ja ulos puutarhan ovesta. Lenkkarit Poika valitsi tarjolla olevista ja halusi ne jalkaan heti kaupasta tultuamme.

On Saturday we drove to a shoe shop and bought four pairs of shoes for Little Boy: blue trainers for school, sandals for warm spring days, brown sandals for school when it gets warmer and green ones which are easy to put on and take off when he runs in and out of the garden door. Little Boy chose the blue trainers himself and wanted to wear them immediately after leaving the shop.

Sunnuntaina pienet vaaleatukkaiset suomalaispojat (neljä yhteensä) parturoitiin jälleen kerran ystävien kotona. Tällä kertaa Poika istui ihan itse tuolissa ja urhoollisesti kesti hiusten leikkuun alusta loppuun huutamatta. Tänään aamulla opettaja koulussa huomasi, että kaksi suomalaiskaverusta oli parturoitu ja kerroimme, että kolmas myös, mutta hän oli tänään pois.

On Sunday we went to a friends house and four blond little boys had a haircut. This time Little Boy sat by himself on the chair and bravely went through the ordeal without screaming. This morning at school the teacher noticed that two of the boys have had a haircut and we told that there were the third one as well but today he was absent.
