Heinäkuun alkupuolen sää ei ollut paras mahdollinen, mutta pääsimme kuitenkin pari kertaa rannalle koko perhe. Merivesi on ollut kylmää (noin +17), mutta Poika keksi tekemistä hiekallakin. Perheenisällä riitti rohkeuttaa pulahtaa uimaan.

The weather in the beginning of July wasn't the warmest but fortunately there were some sunny days and the whole family was able to go down the beach. The sea was chilly (about +17 C) but Little Boy was happy to play on the sand. Daddy was brave enough to go swimming.

Herneiden lisäksi heinäkuussa on herkuteltu myös suomalaisilla mansikoilla. Italiassakin saa parhaimmillaan maukkaita mansikoita, mutta kyllä nämä kotimaiset ovat ehdottomasti parhaimmat ja makoisimmat. Nyt niitä riittää myös talvella, kun Perheenäiti pakasti muutaman litran.

In addition to peas we have eaten a lot of Finnish strawberries. The strawberries in Italy have been decent but in our opinion the Finnish ones are definitely the best and the most delicious. Mummy also put few litres of strawberries in the freezer for the winter.
