Eilen aamulla terassilta löytyi kummallinen ruskea möykky. Tarkemmalla katselulla se osoittautui kahdeksi etanaksi, jotka kuplivat siinä keskenään. Emmepä olleet nähneet moista koskaan ennen.

Yesterday morning we found in our terrace a brown lump. After taking a better look it turned out to be two snails who were bubbling there together. We hadn't seen anything like this ever before.

After a while the skinny one disappeared into the lawn.

Paksumpi, mamma todennäköisesti, työntyi ritilän rakoon. Milloinkahan sieltä nousee kokonainen etanaperhe näkyville? Ja kuinka monta?

The fat one, mummy most probably, pushed herself through the grid. How long it might take before we see a whole family of snails emerging from there? And how many?
