Tässä ensimmäisen kuvatoiveen satoa "kotikadusta". Asumme lyhyen pihatien päässä viimeisessä talossa, kotikatu-sarjan voisi aloittaa vaikka siitä.

This is to fulfill the first picture wish, our "home street". We live in the end of a small cul-de-sac in the last house so maybe that is a good start for the home street view.

Tästä lähdemme autolla liikkeelle kohden tien päässä olevaa lukittua porttia. Portti aukeaa kaukosäätimellä. Kuvassa naapurin auto.

This is where we start our journey towards the locked gate. It opens with a remote control. The car in the picture is our neighbour's.

Tiellä on välillä aika vilkaskin liikenne ja vastaan tulee myös isoja rekkoja, kuorma-autoja, pakettiautoja, sementtiautoja ym. Nyt kuvaan osui vain tämä pieni "kippo".

The road is occasionally quite busy and there are also big trucks, lorries, delivery vans, cement trucks etc. driving by. This time there was only this little car passing by.

Portin jälkeen työnnän puoli autoa tielle nähdäkseni tuleeko vasemmalta tai oikealta ketään -  joskus täytyy peruuttaa takaisin. Kun reitti on selvä, käännyn vasemmalle ja yleensä suuntaan kuvassa muurin jälkeen näkyvään sinkeän kapeaan ja kuoppaiseen ylämäkeen. Kuvassa pihaportti näkyy auton takana sivupeilistä.

After the gate I drive half of the car on the road to be able to see if someone is coming from left or right - sometimes I have to reverse back. When the road is clear I turn to the left and usually turn right after the wall uphill to a narrow and bumby road. You can see the gate closed behind the car on the side mirror.

Yleensä, jos vastaan tulee auto, se tulee juuri tuossa mutkassa kaikkein kapeimmassa kohdassa ja se on vähintäänkin pakettiauto! Sitten ihmetellään mahdutaanko ohittamaan vai kuka peruuttaa.

If there is a car coming down the hill it normaly comes here in the curve, in the most narrow place and it usually is a delivery van at least! Then we need to decide if we can pass each other or should one reverse.

This is the same curve on the way back.

Alamäen ja mutkan jälkeen käännytään vasemmalle kotiin. Porttimme on piilossa tuossa keskellä pensasaitaa, kun matala muuri loppuu. Huomaatteko?

After the curve and downhill I turn left home. Our gate is hidden in the middle of the hedge where the low wall ends. Can you see?
