Maanantaiaamun lumi suli pois lähes saman tien, kun aurinko tuli esiin pilvien takaa. Koko viikko onkin ollut kaunis, kunnes taas tänään heräsimme harmaaseen aamuun. Lumisade alkoi varovasti, mutta yltyi päivän mittaan, taivaalta tippui suuria kämmenen kokoisia märkiä räntärättejä. Viime talvena lunta oli satanut vähän joulun aikaan, mutta se suli pois siihen mennessä, kun palasimme lomalta Suomesta. Kuinkahan luminen tästä talvesta mahtaa tulla? Perheenisä jo miettii talvirenkaiden ostamista.

Tältä näytti pihassa hetken lumisateen jälkeen. Kuvassa näkyy jokunen suurehko räntähiutale.

The snow which came on Monday morning melted away almost immediately when the sun came out of the clouds. The whole week has been beautiful until today we woke up again to a grey morning. The snowing started gingerly but got worse during the day, big wet flakes of snow. Last year it snowed a little during the Christmas but it melted away before we came back from our holidays in Finland. Mummy is wondering how much snow there is going to be this winter. Daddy is already thinking about buying winter tyres for the car.
