Viikonlopun vieraiden kanssa kävimme uudestaan Safariparkissa autoilemassa kirahvien, sarvikuonojen, leijonien ja muiden villieläinten keskellä ja toki pikkuväki piti viedä myös matelijataloon.

We had visitors over last weekend and went again with them to the Safaripark to see giraffes, rhinoes, lions and other wildlife. After that Little Boy and his friend wanted to see the reptiles.

Poika tutki tarkasti jokaisen käärmeen kohdalla oliko lasissa pääkallon kuva, joka tarkoitti, että terraariossa asustaa myrkkykäärme. Ja kyllähän siellä oli monenlaista luikertelijaa näytillä.

Little Boy inspected every glass window to see if there was a skull which meant the snake inside was poisonous. And they really had many kinds of reptiles there.

Safaripuiston käärmeet eivät kuitenkaan olleet viikonlopun ainoat. Kesken lauantai-iltapäivän touhujen naapurin rouva soitti ovikelloa ja pyysi apua, kun heidän puutarhaansa oli ilmestynyt käärme. Lapset olivat peloissaan ja koira haukkui häkissään vimmatusti, kun Perheenisä ja Vieras marssivat pelottomasti paikalle. Käärme saatiin kukistettua ja sen jälkeen pikkuväki ihmetteli sitä vielä omassa pihassamme. Melkoinen seikkailu!

The snakes is the Safari Park were not the only ones we saw during the weekend. In the middle of Saturday afternoon one lady from our neighbourhood came to ask for help because they had a snake in their garden. Her children were afraid and their dog was barking madly in the cage when Daddy and Mr Visitor marched there fearlessly. They managed to defeat the snake and after that Little Boy and his friend were checking the dead snake over in our garden. A real adventure!
